2019 BMA Medical Book Awards Winners
The 2019 BMA Medical Book Awards* took place at the British Medical Association’s headquarters in London on the 3rd of September 2019, recognising outstanding contributions to medical literature. There are 20 categories in which prizes are awarded, with a BMA Medical Book of the Year Award chosen from the category winners. We are thrilled to announce that 41 Elsevier products were chosen to receive an award, including a total of 32 Highly Commended Titles, 6 first prizes and 3 Special Category winners. * The British Medical Association (BMA) is an apolitical professional organisation and independent trade union, representative of doctors and medical students across the UK from all branches of medicine and supporting them to deliver the highest standards of care. The BMA awards take place annually and the judging panel consists of the BMA Chairman of Council, the President, and the Librarian. Entries are first individually reviewed and appraised by doctors and educators, with specialist panels subsequently shortlisting recommendations for final judging by the panel.
